I don't know what happened. Something like this has never, ever happened to me before in my long 9 years of keeping Amish Friendship CAKE starter. It was time to feed my starter and I was planning to make a cake with it last Friday night, just before we were to spend the evening with some of our friends, but I took my container of starter from the fridge and this is what I found:
Moldy and ruined! I had to dump it all down the drain... not sure when I'll 'start' another starter. Last time, I had to start over, I was nearly heartbroken. Right now, I'm pissed off. We'll have to wait and see.
