Yuppers, this is it! Doc Ern's Daddy's Chili, made this past Sunday. And boy, was it guh-ooood. We chose kidney, pinto and northern beans; the "de-gas" instructions given were followed strictly = and that part was fascinating! - no, really! I knew yer supposed to soak the beans overnight, but I never knew about the de-gassing measure!? And it was quite an effective 'preventative measure' at that. If only one could de-gas broccoli, Shepard's Pie, onion rings, etc. etc. We also followed Ern's garlic recommendation - LOTS and LOTS of GARLIC! The only major modification made (other than our bean choices) was the use of THREE+ tablespoons of Gebhardt's chili powder...honestly, we're not sure just how much was used; I quit counting after 3 Tbls., but IT WAS GUH-OOOOD! Did I mention that already? It was good!!!
